Algebraic Models and Quantum Deformations in Molecular Thermodynamics
نویسنده
چکیده
Lie-algebaic and quantum-algebraic techniques are used in the analysis of thermodynamic properties of molecules and solids at high temperatures. In the framework of the algebraic models, the local anharmonic effects are described by a Morse-like potential, associated with the SU(2) algebra. The vibrational high-temperature properies, such as mean energy and specific heat, are studied in terms of the parameters of the algebraic models. The concept of a critical temperature associated with the anharmonic vibrations is introduced. qbosons are applied to molecular thermodynamics.A quantum deformation, associated with the model is discussed and its effect on the thermodynamic properties is studied.

متن کاملThermodynamic Bethe Ansatz and Threefold Triangulations
In the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz approach to 2D integrable, ADE-related quantum field theories one derives a set of algebraic functional equations (a Y-system) which play a prominent role. This set of equations is mapped into the problem of finding finite triangulations of certain 3D manifolds. This mapping allows us to find a general explanation of the periodicity of the Y-system. For the A N...
متن کاملAlgebraic constructive quantum field theory: Integrable models and deformation techniques
Several related operator-algebraic constructions for quantum field theory models on Minkowski spacetime are reviewed. The common theme of these constructions is that of a Borchers triple, capturing the structure of observables localized in a Rindler wedge. After reviewing the abstract setting, we discuss in this framework i) the construction of free field theories from standard pairs, ii) the i...

The local anharmonic effects are described by a Morse-like potential and the corresponding anharmonic bosons are associated with the SU(2) algebra. A vibrational high-temperature partition function and the related thermodynamic functions are...
